The New Space Race

Species extinction is being driven by habitat loss from human encroachment. In 2050, when the world population reaches 10 billion people, only 2 billion or so with be living in the industrialized world. For the remaining 8 billion people- more than the present Earth's population- food security means access to that  which grows from the earth, and most of those vegetables, nuts and fruits depend upon pollinators to reproduce.
